About me:
I am a pleasant guy who is also an accomplished photographer, Wildlife Consultants and an active conservationist on Sumatran forest. I am also the founder of LetsBirding Sumatra, Birding Tour For Conservation. Where part of the profits will be donated to bird conservation activities in Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia. I was born in Padang on February 14, 1982 and was study about Forestry at the Bengkulu University. I am interested in birds a the year 2010 and became a birding guides in 2012 for the birds of Sumatra. I was one of the Conservation Leadership Program (CLP) ALumni and several years with the Wildlife Conservation Society-Indonesia Program (WCS-IP), which brought to travel throughout Sumatra. Spent several years in the field for visiting many remote areas to look for birds and other wildlife, especially the Sumatran rhino and the Sumatran tiger. I has more than a passing interest in wildlife and try to see all the Sumatran Mega-fauna.

Tedi organized a great Aceh birding trip for me in July 2025. We got almost all of my targets, including fantastic views and pictures of Sumatran Laughing-thrush, Sumatran Woodpecker, and Rajah Scops Owl! Unfortunately, Roll's Partridge was completely silent and the Aceh Bulbul didn't show up at the usual and only stake out, but that's life and a good excuse for coming back! Tedi and his team worked really hard and I am happy to recomend his services to anyone visiting Aceh in the future!

I spent nine days in Aceh with Tedi in December 2023. He knows lots of good sites, has a wide knowledge of the birds and wildlife of Sumatra, has reliable associates and offers good company. I can warmly recommend him!

Tedi arranged my Ornis Birding Expeditions group tour to Aceh in mid-2023, and his perfect logistical arrangements coupled with an excellent knowledge of birding in the Leuser Ecosystem made for a fabulous trip. Tedi had recent sites for every target species (even the bulbul, although we couldn’t find it and that was our one dip!), and was always ready to leave the hotel at 3am to arrive in time for spotlighting! Tedi is also very fast to respond to messages and emails, which always makes a huge difference when planning any trip.

Tedi arranged and guided a birding trip in Aceh, Sumatra for myself and a friend in 2018. He did an excellent job, was hard working, happy to have very long days with owling at both ends of the day, knew locations and birds very well, and was always cheerful.
