I am Tamas Vass. I'm a licensed tour guide. I live in Kecskemét in the heart of the Kiskunsági National Park.
I have been focusing on nature in my whole life and I'm passionate about birding. I have undertaken several research projects in the Kiskunsági National Park such as the MAP/ birdlife monitoring project.

Tamás took us to the Pusztaszer area for an afternoon of birding, and it was great! I had a great experience in Hungary in July 2023 when Tamás took me on a half day tour of Kiskunsagi national park area near Budapest. Tamas picked me up from my hotel and drove to the park where he was able to show me over 70 species during the morning. His knowledge of calls, habitats and ability to spot birds that I would never have noticed was extremely helpful to a relatively inexperienced birder. I really enjoyed the trip and would definitely like to go back during the breeding season with Tamás as a guide. In addition to his ornithology expertise, Tamás was great company. I arrived late into Budapest after travel delays and hadn't had much sleep. As such I was spectacularly disorganised on birding logistics, yet Tamás was extremely patient and supportive on things like food, camera equipment, and generally as an advisor for visiting Hungary in general. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Budapest and surrounding area. Hope to link up again in future.
