2.57925 , -72.68617

Colombia

Buena Vista and Playa Guio offer great Varzea forest birding very close to the town of San José Del Guaviare. The area is located next to the Guaviare river and since it is seasonally flooded and is not suitable for cattle pastures or cultivation, the habitat is largely intact. It consists of both primary and secondary forest, various large lagoons also attract some waterbirds. Typical species here include rarities like Dugand's Antwren and Orange-eyed Flycatcher.
