This site is a recogniuzed I.B.A area, but is private property and has no protection.

We find a variety of waterbirds, Herons and landbirds here. It is one of the few place where there is a chance of finding a Mangrove Cuckoo and a Caribbean Elaenia. During the winter a variety of migrating warblers can be found, new surpises every winter.

There is a big pond, with a trail along the long edge of the pond.

Count on spending upto one hour for a good search, the hike is easy and pleasant. Park your car right at the start of the dirt road.

There is a birding blind at the edge of the pond, but this  one gets occupiued by junkies occasionally and it is better to leave the undisturbed and not enter the blind then. Fortunatatly this is not very often.

Other wise the area is very safe

Traffic noise and atv groupsfrom cruise ship tourist can be a big disturbance here
