About me:
I lead birding and bird photography tours to Hakalau Forest NWR, one of the premier birding places in Hawaii to see native forest birds. At Hakalau Forest we can see six Hawaiian Honeycreeper species, 4 of which are threatened or endangered, as well as several other native species. I'm a retired USFWS wildlife biologist having worked at Hakalau Forest NWF for almost 20 years. I've lived in Hawaii for 50 years and have been involved with the restoration of Hakalau Forest and conservation of Hawaii's native birds for most of my life. If you haven't seen Hawaii's native forest birds, come join me for a day at Hakalau Forest NWR.
