About me:
Bird enthusiast since 1993, avid lister and photographer since 2005, sound recordist since 2010. As of 2023 I'll have worked 8 years for the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies on the IMBCR project (Integrated Monitoring of Bird Conservation Regions), with the last three being Crew Leader in Colorado. I write a column on birding by ear for the Colorado Field Ornithologists' quarterly journal, lead field trips for the Colorado Field Ornithologists annual conventions, serve on the Colorado Bird Records Committee and with eBird as a reviewer for 3 mountain counties, and have done conservation and guiding volunteer work in South America.
I also go by the moniker 'Zenbirder'. I bring a light, fun, joyous approach to my birding and seek to share it with everyone I meet.
