I’m Doreen Amukoya, a guide and visual storyteller passionate about uncovering the hidden avian wonders of East Africa, with a special focus on Kenya. With a deep appreciation of the country’s diverse ecosystems from lush forests, wetlands to expansive savannahs, I bring each landscape to life through guided experiences and compelling imagery.
By combining field expertise with a keen photographic eye, I create immersive birding experiences that go beyond simple sightings. I enjoy helping people connect more deeply with birdlife by interpreting behaviour, identifying calls, and sharing insights into the relationships between species and their habitats. My guiding style is friendly, engaging, and tailored to suit both beginners and experienced birders.
I’m also a strong advocate for conservation, committed to highlighting the balance between nature and human activity. I actively promote responsible birding and support community-based conservation initiatives.
