About me:
I have been working as an interpreter guide of nature and culture in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico for the past 18 years. My passion for birds begins in 2009 while working for an ecological center in the Sian Ka´an Biosphere Reserve. Together with the tour operator Mexico Kan Tours, a pioneer in responsible and authentic travel in Tulum Mexico, we started the brand AMAR AVES with the aim to promote the Yucatan Peninsula as an excellent destination for birding. Over the past 10 years, I have been offering birders and travelers with an interest in the nature, the history and the culture of the Yucatan, a wide array of tour options; from half day trips to multi-day trips, one can enjoy the incredible bird diversity that can be found in places of interest such as archaeological sites, nature reserves, Mayan communities and towns, many recognized by UNESCO as world heritage sites for their cultural and/or natural value.
