Amazing day of birdwatching in Tijuca forest with Francisco Falcon. Francisco was the most amazing birdwatching guide. He is professional, kind, accommodating. Francisco picked us up at our hotel & he provided coffee & Brazilian snacks for us. When we arrived at the forest, He is awesome at identifying birds by sound & sight. He took care to find many species of birds in the forest. We were able to see them up close & photograph them as well. He knows all the excellent spots to find particular species. I told him what birds we hoped to see & se saw them all. I had injured by back two days before my tour & Francisco took care to ensure that I was able to participate fully on the tour. Our tour with Francisco was the best tour we have ever taken. We hope to birdwatch again with Francisco in the future.

I enjoyed a great day of birding with Francisco. He is thoroughly familiar with hotspots, habitats and where to find certain species because he has identified them in the past at the locations we visited. The day was not hurried at all, was plenty of time for listening and observing. Francisco explained quite a lot about the birds we were seeing and he even identified several rarely seen birds on our day together for which he was very excited and was able to get some photographs for himself and to share. Even if you have very little knowledge about birds yourself you would have a great time and learn a lot by going on a tour with Francisco, highly recommended. He’s super friendly and kind.

Falcon is the nicest person you can meet. His knowledge in the bird world is amazing!! On our last ride under his guidance he heard/named over 100 birds and we photographed bout twenty birds!! Talking about Falcon is something very gratifying because it reminds me of the stupendous moments we have shared in the field. As a guide, he is very knowledgeable of brazilian birds - their behaviour, their habitats, their songs and calls - especially those from Rio de Janeiro state. He is always studying well-known sites as well as searching for new birding areas. He cares a lot for the birders that are with him and at the same time shows great respect for Nature. Besides birding, he is a very kind and nice guy and is always open for a good chat.

He is able to identify a multitude of bird songs and calls, which makes him a very effective guide in a number of hotspots in Brazil. Falcon is highly knowledgeable about birds, whether their physical characteristics, calls or habits. He has guided me few times, in which we observed several new species and take great pics, and I still intend to go birding with him again (soon).
