About me:
My name is Paul Laurent, I have been a professional Naturalist and Birding Guide for 13 years. I currently live in Banner Elk, North Carolina, where my amazing wife Amanda and I own and operate a small birding tour company called Epic Nature Tours. We offer private tours here in the NC High Country as well as private and small group tours all over the US and around the world. We specialize in creating custom trips for families, small groups, and even organizations such as local Audubon Society Chapters.
I fell in love with birding at a young age, and was fortunate to be able to travel to Belize with my parents when I was just 9 years old. That trip imbued in me a love of nature, travel, and wildlife of all sorts. I am an avid birder, but nature is all about balance, and I also love showing people the other incredible wildlife like snakes, frogs, mammals, and really cool invertebrates that are all intricately connected to the birds we love so much!
