About me:
Ashoka Jayarathne is an experienced wildlife and birding tour coordinator and executive working in the field for over 20 years. Hence, he is very familiar with all the birding and wildlife destinations in Sri Lanka.
He was a field scientist involved in many research related to wildlife, especially in birding. Therefore, he has mastered his knowledge of Bird identification and behavioural observation in the field, Bird banding and Radio-telemetry. Some of the projects he was involved are the Ecology and evolution of lorises in Sri Lanka, the conservation of mixed-species flocks in Sri Lanka, The foraging ecology and vocalizations of the Crested Drongo in the Sinharaja World Heritage Reserve, and interspecific communication in mixed-species bird flocks of a Sri Lankan rainforests.
