About me:
Hi. People prefer to call me Alex for short, and that makes life easier for everyone :) I work for Birding Caucasus, the best company in the region, as knowledgeable and experienced people say, and guide ornithological tours in all three countries of the South Caucasus, including Armenia and Azerbaijan, but the country where I feel like a fish in water, nevertheless, is Georgia. This is where I come from, and I live in Tbilisi. Not only birdwatching tours are my occupation, although the main one, but I/we also specialize in birdphotography.
In addition to being an avid birder, I have extensive experience working in the field of nature and, in particular, bird conservation since 2010. At that time, I was a co-author or part of the team of many revolutionary and successful projects, whether it was the protection of migratory raptors in the Batumi Bottleneck, or cross-border protection of the declining population of Eastern Imperial Eagles in Georgia and Azerbaijan, or the creation of new Important Bird Areas, such as Chorokhi River Delta, and much more. In 2016, I even received a significant award from the Whitley Conservation Foundation in the UK, which was kindly presented to him by Sir. David Attenborough and Anna, the Royal Princess of Great Britain.
In my free time, I belong to my family :)
