About me:
Hi my name is Suwaibou Gassama but you can call me Pablo. I have been a birding guide for over 10yrs. I have taken many birdwatchers on trips in Gambia and Senegal to see the many species of birds that we have here in The Gambia. I have guided trips locally in the coastal region and in the up country and forests for overnight or for 3 or 4 days. I have great knowledge of birds and where you can find specific species in Gambia and Senegal. I am very passionate about birdwatching it is my way of life. I have been birdwatching with Suwaibou on a few occasions when I have been in The Gambia. He introduced me to this wonderful activity. He has been very good at teaching me how to recognise the different birds and their habitats. I had a wonderful trip to the farasutu forest and Tendaba where I saw over 100 different species of beautiful birds. Suwaibou has amazing eyesight and can spot birds from afar off. He is a great guide. You won't be disappointed if you go birding with him. My favourite bird is the Abyssinian roller. I also love the colour of the Long Tailed Glossy Starling such a lovely colour.
