About me:
Paula is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator who found her birding passion when she started a project illustrating the birds around her house in Jardín (Antioquia - Colombia) where now she has a record of more than 140 species including 5 endemics. Discovering birdwatching through illustration means she looks for all the details, colours and shapes of every bird. She started working as a local guide in her hometown, but quickly moved all over Colombia, and for the last seven years she has worked as a birding guide for different companies; guiding for groups and individuals from the USA, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, among others. As part of her degree she also studied photography and she loves catching birds in her lens, portraits more than all. Besides birding, she enjoys nature, especially mountains. She is a canyoning instructor, trail runner and mountain guide.
