About me:
I started life as an artist: a stone-carver, and nature - animals, birds and plants - was my main subject. Later in life I turned my hobby into my profession, and in 2013 set up my bird and nature guiding company Birding in Spain's Wild West. I love to explore, and to share what I find, especially where I live in the province of Salamanca in the west of Spain: a wonderfully diverse region which is still unknown to many birders, but which they often come back to. I also take pride in offering fine picnics with local food, to make a day's birding that much more special.
