About me:
As the Head of the Mazowe Botanical Reserve, I live and work in the heart of Zimbabwe's stunning Miombo woodland. Based in Christon Bank (just 30km north of Harare), I oversee more than 500 hectares of protected habitat that serves as a vital extension of our National Botanical Garden.
What to Expect While the Reserve is my "home patch"—boasting a list of 272 species—I am deeply familiar with the greater Harare area (where we see over 400 species) and have guided birders across the diverse landscapes of Zimbabwe. Whether you are looking for Miombo specialists or exploring the broader region, I can help you navigate our local birding hotspots.
The Experience I enjoy sharing the intersection of botany and ornithology, giving you a deeper look at the ecosystems we explore. Whether you are a dedicated lister or a casual enthusiast, I am happy to tailor our time to your specific interests. I have been a game ranger in the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife management Authority for 13 years then I ventured into anti-Poaching training in private organisations.
