Långvassfjärden's nature reserve is a small protected area (~94 ha) of coastal reed vegetation in Inkoo with some mature forest.
The best time to visit this location is spring and early summer. Later in summer and in autumn the reeds are so tall that it is hard to see anything in that part of the area. Some typical birds seen here are gulls and terns (incl. Caspian tern), mute swans, white-tailed eagles, great egret, great spotted woodpecker and common reed buntings.
The old legally protected area of the Långvassfjärden around Killholmen was expanded in 2021. Its size doubled and almost everything seen from the bird watching tower is now inside the nature reserve.
