Långvassfjärden's nature reserve is a small protected area (~94 ha) of coastal reed vegetation in Inkoo with some mature forest.
Best time is spring and early summer to visit this location. Later in summer and in autumn reeds are so tall that it is hard to see anything in that part of the area. Some typical birds seen here are gulls and terns (incl. Caspian tern), mute swans, white-tailed eagles, great egret, great spotted woodpecker and common reed buntings.
Old protected by law area of the Långvassfjärden around Killholmen was expanded in 2021. Its size doubled and now almost everything seen from the bird watching tower is now inside the nature reserve.
