Located at the foothills of Sierra Juarez, this reservoir is home to a large number of bird species. All around, arid scrub habitat with at the north part of the reservoir, a willow habitat. During winter, we can found over 80 birds species in the morning. it is an easy site to access and birding around. You will found a great diversity of Migrant species and endemics species, like Bridled Sparrow, Pileated Flycatcher, Blue Mockingbird, etc.

From Oaxaca you can take a cab to SAn Pablo Etla Kiosko, and from there walk towards the Presa by the street Francisco Javier Mina. We can take collectif cab from Central de segunda en Oaxaca, much cheaper (around 2 usd).

On the Dam, stay on the East Side, the west side is private, and the guys seems everyday bad mood.
