Winter without any doubt, but, during summer it is much easier to find the tarjet species.

Don't spend more than two hours, around the pond, but to, in the hills around on the north side until the trail going up to la Mesita, good chance for Horned Lark and Eastern Meadowlark, Grasshopper, Vesper Sparrow during winter.

The best way to get there: your car, or rental car. You can ask for local tricicle taxi to take you up to the pond, I don't know th price of this service, but anyway, accessible.

Give recommendations for making your visit as productive as possible.
This may include for instance:
• best season
• best time of the day
• how much time to spend at the site
• best means of locomotion within the site
• recommended routes / areas within the site
• guiding
