starting from kampala the capital city of ugand 

head west towards fort poart on the fort portal-kampala road 

then continue on this road for approximately 330km (205miles)

after reaching fort portal, take the kamwenge road for about 30km or 18.6miles

you will eventually reach the bigodi trading center and follow the sign posts that read bigodi wetland sanctuary

starting from kampala the capital city of ugand  head west towards fort poart on the fort portal-kampala road  then continue on this road for approximately 330km (205miles) after reaching fort portal, take the kamwenge road for about 30km or 18.6miles you will eventually reach the bigodi trading center and follow the sign posts that read bigodi wetland sanctuary

This place is open from monday to sunday

Starting from 07:00am to 17:00pm

Permits for walking is always got at the site 

It is highly advised to reach the site bofore and book for the birding tour 

The site offers walking boots in case its a rain season

The bigodi wetland which is known to be the home the great blue turaco has  got a nuber of special difference species;

Eight differnt primate species; red colobus, varvet monkey, grey cheecked mangbey, red tailed monkey, black and white colobus, l'hoest monkey, blue monkey and the olive baboon

A list of over 200 bird spesies have been identified 

Some ground mammals like the swamp otters, bush pigs.......

cultural experience like, like making coffee locally, busket weaving with the local women, banana brewing experience and the cultural dance
