The best season to visit the region is in summer, which runs from November to March. In any case, curassows are seen all year round and do not have a specific time of day to see them. While walking the trails in search of them, many other species present in the place can be seen. It is a good idea to plan at least two or three days in the reserve to have the best chance of success.

Give recommendations for making your visit as productive as possible.
This may include for instance:
• best season
• best time of the day
• how much time to spend at the site
• best means of locomotion within the site
• recommended routes / areas within the site

The place and the access route is safe. Given the unpredictable weather, it is important to always carry a raincoat or umbrella. It is also recommended to carry a dry bag for equipment and snacks for trips in the jungle. As usual in rainforest there are mosquitoes and other insects and plants with thorns abound on the trails so it is recommended to wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, socks and high boots. It's possible to find snakes so it is better to stay on the trails.

Are there any security issues or other annoyances at this site? For
instance, these may include:
• offenses like robbery or theft
• natural hazards
• dangerous or annoying animals or plants (mosquitoes, leaches, thorn bushes, etc.)
