Vineyards, cotton crops and groves along with riparian patches along the numerous streams set up an ideal landscape for farmland birds while the surrounding slopes of Mt Kithaironas and Mt Pastra offer scrubby areas for numerous passerines.

Interurban bus connection is scarce. Prefer going by a private car.
