It is best to visit during spring and fall, where you may see migrating species. The best time of day is the early morning and in the evening. It is usually slow birding during the middle of the day. The best way to bird here is to drive with windows down, listening for any birdsong, and also walking the two main trails. The west trail that goes down to a pond usually has a lot of activity. The trails are gravel and level and is an easy walk.

Note: the trails are fairly long and don't loop back around. It is best if you turn around and go back the way you came when you are ready to leave.

Give recommendations for making your visit as productive as possible.
This may include for instance:
• best season
