Bababi is best during the spring time as it has good bush habitat for spring migrants. Most of the bird activity is in the bush area to the south of the grassland. Typically there are numerous small bird species including Red-browed Finches, Weebills, Yellow-rumped Thornbills, Brown Thornbills, and Superb Fairywrens in this bush area. During spring, the southern bush area is where to check for Rufous Whistlers, White-winged Trillers, and cuckoo species. The grassland is where Golden-headed Cisticolas, Australasian Pipits, and Black-shouldered Kites are a common sight. On occasion, there can be a songlark in the grassland during the spring. Winter birds to look out for are Flame Robins, Spiny-cheeked Honeyeaters, Rose Robins, and Scarlet Robins which can show up in any area of the site.

Give recommendations for making your visit as productive as possible.
This may include for instance:
• best season
• best time of the day
• how much time to spend at the site
• best means of locomotion within the site
• recommended routes / areas within the site
• guiding

Quite often there are off lead dogs in the area that wander through the bushland. Be careful not to step on the Eastern Brown Snakes while birding the location because they can be hard to see.
