The Pangaion/Pangaio/Pangeo/Paggaio public forest refuge (Greek: Παγγαίο, romanized: Pangéo; also called Pangaeon, Pangaeum) has a total area of 11239.50 hectares and it consists of 5121.80 ha of beech trees, 1955.92 ha of beech - oak - chestnut - fir trees and broadleaved deciduous trees, and 4161.78 ha of evergreen broadleaved trees. In the mountain you will find forest lodges and a ski resort.
